2019 Oscar Predictions

The 2019 Oscars are just days away and just like the SAG Awards, I am putting in my prediction for who will win. This year, the Oscars are going to be different for me. For the first time ever, I have been able to fill out the ballot with confidence instead of it being one huge guessing game. I felt this confidence because I had seen 90% of the films nominated.

Now there is one movie that I believe is missing from these award shows - A Quiet Place. Is was the most original movie that has been made in years! I will write a review about it soon so you know my true feelings but I want to go on record of saying it should have been nominated at each show, include a contender for Best Picture at the 2019 Oscars.

There were a few surprise nominees for me. I was not expecting The Favourite for Best Picture, Oliva Colman for Actress in a Leading Role, and Roma for Best Foreign Language Film and Best Picture. In current polling, Roma is actually leading in both categories too.
