I laughed. I cried. I laughed so hard I was crying. It might've been because I was having a terrible day and needed a good laugh but this movie was funny! I have always been a fan of Seth Rogen movies ever since Super Bad. And since Super Bad, he has continuously pumped out really funny comedies like 50/50, Neighbors, Neighbors 2, The Disaster Artist, and Knocked Up. But I am going to go ahead and say Long Shot is the funniest Seth Rogen movie I have ever seen. But he is only funny for one reason....Charlize Theron

They are like comedy soulmates. They were this dynamic comedy duo that both brought the comedy, entertainment and laughs to the movie. They weren't competing with each other. They were complimenting each other throughout the entire movie and they both played their parts well. And by well I mean Charlize Theron being the beautiful, successful, driven woman that knows what she wants in life and is going to stop at nothing to get it. And Seth Rogen played the total opposite - an unemployed, pot smoking, Molly taking, opinionated journalist with a childhood crush. It is like the modern-day version of Pretty Woman but only Charlize Theron is Richard Gere and Seth Rogen is Julia Roberts

The only bad thing about this movie is that in just a few short years, most of the pop-culture references will be dead. For instance, in the movie, Charlize Theron's character plays the Secretary of State who reports directly to the President. Well the President, played by Bob Odenkirk, was not only the President but was a TV actor before his Presidency. He wants to quit being President to use his popularity to start a new career as a movie star. Can see how this relates to our current President? Also in the movie, since it is based around politics, the producers basically recreated each current network with their own version. You could tell who was MSNBC or CNN vs Fox News.

I do have a bone to pick with this movie. Why would you put Game of Thrones spoilers in the movie?!? My friends finally talked me into watching the series (I know...I'm late to the game) right before it ends. I am on season three and apparently !! SPOILER ALERT !! coming up in the series, one of Khaleesi's dragons die and come back as a white walker. Sorry for the spoiler if you are just working through the series but this movie ruined that for me too.

I would hands down watch this movie again if I saw it come across Amazon. I might even buy it instead of just waiting for it to come out on Prime...now that is saying something people. If you are considering watching this for a date or family night, you should know it's a pretty dirty comedy. At one point, Seth Rogen's character was masturbating to Charlie Theron's character giving a speech. You see him cum on his face. (Obviously it's not real cum. This is a movie. But they make it look like it.). So... I wouldn't recommend it to my mom but I would for sure go see it with my best friend if she wanted too (hint hint: I got a movie we can watch next week if you're in town Movie Friend)
