Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I am pleased you have found me but you might be wondering what you have stumbled upon. Like most of the population, I am a movie lover. There are many reasons I love movies. The romance. The thrills. The terror (well...not so much as I hate horror movies). The inspiration they give me. The feeling you get after a good movie that changes your perspective on the world for a short time (or drive faster because of how kick ass you feel).
Over the past several years, I realized that there have been a TON of movies I wanted to see. I even talked about how much I wanted to see them to friends and acquaintances. But - I wasn't making any time to watch them. As the list grew and grew, I knew something had to change.
At the beginning of 2018, I started going to one movie a week. I believe there is a certain magic about seeing a movie in theaters that you can't recreate at home. The smell of popcorn, the comfortable seats, the screen resolution, the perfect mysterious sound level - a movie theater's atmosphere cannot easily be recreated (no matter how good your home theater system is). Plus if I watch a movie at home, I typically fall asleep through it because that's what happens at 8pm when you just worked 40+ hours and your 30.
This corner of the internet is my movie journal. I wanted a space to write about what I liked and didn't like about a movie while keeping a running list of all the movies I have seen. (I mean - I go to one movie a week and sometimes more. That is at least 52 movies in a year. That is A LOT to remember) I am no Rotten Tomatoes critic. In fact, sometimes I disagree with their rating and reviews. I am just your average gal who appreciates a good movie.
